THE OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Infrastructure Operations will lead the people, programs, and operating systems responsible for reliable critical infrastructure across one or more facilities. This position combines technical leadership with organizational discipline, setting standards for uptime, safety, maintenance, incident response, capacity, vendor performance, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set the operating strategy, standards, staffing model, and performance expectations for critical infrastructure
  • Lead facility operations, preventive maintenance, reliability, capacity, and lifecycle planning across assigned sites
  • Oversee incident response, escalation, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and operational reporting
  • Develop and maintain standard, maintenance, and emergency operating procedures
  • Manage operating budgets, capital plans, service contracts, vendors, and major maintenance programs
  • Partner with design, construction, commissioning, IT, security, energy, and business teams
  • Build and develop high-performing managers and technical teams through clear accountability and training
  • Use performance data to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and strengthen operational readiness
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations, or a related discipline
  • 12+ years of critical facilities or infrastructure operations experience, including significant people leadership
  • Demonstrated responsibility for high-availability electrical, mechanical, controls, and life-safety systems
  • Experience leading multi-site operations, major incidents, budgets, vendors, and capital programs
  • Strong knowledge of reliability, maintenance, safety, change control, and business-continuity practices
  • Data center operations credentials such as AOS, DCEO, CDCP, CDFOM, or equivalent training preferred
  • Executive-level communication, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills
