Director of Technology

Atlanta, Georgia, Onsite

The Director of Technology provides strategic leadership for the organization’s technology, applications, infrastructure, AV, and information security functions. This role oversees IT operations, systems and business applications, cybersecurity, and risk management to ensure a secure, stable, and scalable environment that aligns with business goals.


What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT and security strategy aligned with long‐term business objectives.
  • Build multi‐year roadmaps for infrastructure, applications, security, and AV to support organizational growth.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to drive operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Establish and enforce technology standards, policies, and procedures across systems, applications, and devices.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Direct, mentor, and lead an internal IT team and managed service providers (MSPs).
  • Cultivate a service‐oriented culture focused on accountability, responsiveness, and practical problem‐solving.
  • Advise executive leadership on technology risks, opportunities, investments, and operational decision‐making.
  • Partner across departments to deliver integrated, secure, and user‐friendly technical solutions.


IT Operations, Applications, Systems & AV

  • Oversee day‐to‐day IT operations, including networks, servers, cloud services, endpoints, and service desk.
  • Own key business applications and systems (e.g., line‐of‐business platforms, collaboration tools), including reliability, upgrades, and vendor coordination.
  • Manage AV and collaboration environments (conference rooms, video conferencing, meeting technology) to support onsite and hybrid work.
  • Ensure effective monitoring, patching, backups, and change management to minimize downtime.


Information Security & Risk Management

  • Lead the cybersecurity program, including policies, controls, monitoring tools, security awareness, and incident response.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across all systems, applications, data, and third‐party vendor relationships.
  • Manage business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure operational resilience.
  • Support compliance with relevant regulatory and security frameworks.


What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record managing enterprise‐scale infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity programs in a mid‐size organization.
  • Strong business acumen, including budget ownership and strategic vendor negotiation.


Technical Skills & Certifications

  • Deep knowledge of cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), network architecture, identity and access management, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and AV/collaboration technologies (video conferencing, conference room systems).
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, and/or PMP.
