Success in a Supervisor:
Direction from Store Manager/Replaces Store Manager when Absent
  • The Supervisor is responsible for getting updates and direction from the store manager/assistant upon arriving for their shift. This role maintains the manager role when the manager/assistant are absent.
  • This role is responsible in part for delegating the daily checklist and making sure each task is complete. The Supervisor will help to maintain accountability for all daily tasks within the store. These tasks include but are not limited to receiving orders, invoices, salesfloor, cooler, cleaning, trash and bathrooms.

Team Development
  • This role is responsible for assisting in the training and mentoring of new hires or candidates eligible for promotion.
  • The Supervisor is responsible for helping the manager to recognize potential leaders and promoting/mentoring them into leadership roles.
  • This role is responsible for helping to oversee processes and procedures that have been put in place and making sure to assist in educating the team accordingly.

Team/Servant Leadership
  • This role is responsible for setting up and communicating with all shifts. The Supervisor is responsible for being a servant leader to the team and supporting the leadership of the Store Manager/Assistant.
  • The Supervisor is responsible for positive communication with the team that maintains a supportive working environment.
  • This role is responsible for helping to foster culture in the store that services the guest above and beyond their expectations.

Executing on Brand Standards
  • This role is responsible for executing brand standards developed and communicated by the President, Vice President, and Director of Operations of the Travel Centers and C-Stores.
  • The Store Clerk is responsible for helping to communicate and educate the brand standards to the team and supporting a cohesive culture promoting and adhering to these standards.
