AITS Corporation is a veteran-led prime contractor delivering sovereign-grade cybersecurity and applied defense grade secure cross-domain solutions for the U.S. government, defense-industrial base, and allied sovereign partners.

Our business is growing, and we are accepting applications for a DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS who preferably is based in the United States, with the possibility for some remote work and/or potential requirements to travel. This candidate will need to routinely report to our site in GA.

Position Summary

The Director of Operations is accountable for the strategic leadership, oversight, and assurance of AITS' operations, spanning Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Corporate Services. The role provides a critical bridge between operational delivery and executive leadership, translating organizational strategy into prioritized, well-governed programs while ensuring consistent performance, financial control, and risk management. The Director acts as the COO's principal adviser on operational delivery, organizational readiness, and transformation.

    • Oversee the operational functions to ensure alignment with corporate strategy.

    • Provide leadership to Operations Project Manager(s).
    • Establish consistent delivery standards and culture.
  • Governance, Assurance, and Reporting
    • Own operational program governance frameworks.
    • Provide executive-level assurance and reporting.

    • Accountable for program budgets and resource allocation.
    • Ensure value for money and return on investment

    • Provide senior ownership of risk management.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security obligations.

    • Lead major operational and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Senior program leadership experience.
  • Strong governance, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven success leading and developing operational functions of an organization.
  • Recognized project/program management experienced delivery and or qualification (PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a leader and facilitator who enables the business rather than acting as a blocker.
  • Ability to commute to the Augusta, GA area on a regular basis is required.
