Director of PMO & Project Delivery

Location: Hybrid Remote - Boston, MA (2 - 3 days onsite weekly)

Compensation: $160,000 - $200,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

Focus: PMO Leadership | Managed Services | Professional Services | Client Delivery


We are working with a growing IT solutions provider that is looking to add a Director of PMO & Project Delivery to help lead and scale their project delivery organization. This is a leadership role overseeing a team of Project Managers supporting client-facing infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and managed services projects across SMB and middle market customers.


This position is ideal for someone who comes from a VAR, MSP, consulting, or IT services background and has experience leading PMO operations within a fast-paced client delivery environment.


The role will focus heavily on delivery oversight, PMO process improvement, project governance, resource coordination, and helping drive consistency across a portfolio of concurrent client engagements.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers supporting client-facing IT projects
  • Oversee project delivery across infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and managed services engagements
  • Drive PMO standards, project governance, reporting, and delivery consistency
  • Help manage project prioritization, resource planning, escalations, and operational workflows
  • Partner closely with leadership, engineering, sales, and service delivery teams
  • Improve project management processes, onboarding workflows, and overall delivery operations
  • Maintain visibility across active project portfolios, timelines, risks, and delivery metrics


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of IT project management experience within an MSP, VAR, consulting, or IT services environment
  • Prior leadership experience managing Project Managers or PMO teams
  • Strong background overseeing multiple concurrent client-facing projects
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, or managed services engagements
  • PMP certification required
  • Strong communication, operational leadership, and stakeholder management experience
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
