Job description

Are you a visionary transportation engineering and infrastructure leader who can successfully guide complex capital programs from planning through construction? If so, the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) invites you to apply for its next Director of Project Delivery. NTTA is seeking an accomplished and collaborative executive who can lead major infrastructure initiatives, manage highly skilled professionals, and deliver projects that support one of the fastest-growing regions in the nation.

Located within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, NTTA supports mobility and economic development across Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties through the operation and expansion of a safe, reliable toll road network. As one of the countryโ€™s fastest-growing metropolitan areas, North Texas continues to invest heavily in transportation infrastructure to support population growth and economic expansion. NTTA plays a critical role in this effort by delivering innovative mobility solutions and maintaining a transportation network that enhances connectivity throughout the region.

The Project Delivery Department is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure and maintenance projects supporting NTTAโ€™s Five-Year Capital Plan and long-term transportation goals. Reporting to the Assistant Executive Director of Infrastructure, the Director of Project Delivery is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while supporting NTTAโ€™s mission of providing safe and reliable transportation infrastructure throughout North Texas.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader of transportation and infrastructure programs, skilled in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultant partners, and an exceptional communicator capable of translating technical information for diverse audiences.

Required qualifications for this position include:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering
  • More than 15 years of progressively responsible engineering and project delivery experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, or ability to obtain Texas reciprocity within three months of employment
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Significant transportation infrastructure experience
  • Executive-level capital program leadership experience
  • Experience managing large consultant teams and complex public infrastructure projects

The salary range for this position is $208,624โ€“$281,642, depending on qualifications and experience.
