Associate, Project Controls

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. These services range from small, standalone contracts to world-class mega projects.

KBR's office in Newark, DE holds a leading role in our Integrated Solutions business, providing engineering and project deliverables to our clients. Services include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

We are looking for an Associate, Project Controls interested in a full-time career as a professional in Project Controls (Cost/Scheduling).

Under direct supervision, you will perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic project controls principles. You will use judgment in making selections and adaptation of cost/scheduling alternatives and perform specific and well-defined assignments.

The key duties and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Actively participates in recording actual and committed cost and workhours, development of project variances, trending and analysis of commitments and expenditures and development of the project forecast and cash flow.

  • Actively participates in the administration of the change control process.

  • Actively participates in development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling.

  • Actively participates in coordination with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply.

  • Actively participates in identification of priorities for projects to guarantee completion.

  • Complete assigned tasks with consideration of the budgeted work hours and schedule commitments.

Job Requirements

  • Recently graduated from an accredited college or university with a preferred baccalaureate or master's degree in Engineering, Finance or Business

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, preferred

    • Skill should include pivot tables, formulas, chart creation and managing large data files

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team

  • Must be able to self-lead and communicate to all levels of project team, including management and clients
