Customer Engineering

At GBG, our Customer Engineering organization sits at the intersection of technology, customer value, and commercial growth. As we continue to accelerate our North American expansion, we are building a world-class Solutions Engineering function that plays a critical role in helping organizations solve complex identity verification, fraud prevention, and data intelligence challenges.

The North American Solutions Engineering team is a high-performing group of technical consultants, trusted advisors, and problem-solvers who partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive customer outcomes and revenue growth. This team is instrumental in positioning GBG as a strategic partner to some of the region's most innovative organizations.

Work Structure:
This is a remote position with a strong preference for candidates in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Travel for customer visits, team collaboration, and stakeholder meetings may be required (estimated up to 40%).

The Role - Director of Solutions Engineering

As Director of Solutions Engineering, you will lead, mentor, and scale a team of Solutions Engineers across North America, driving technical excellence throughout the customer buying journey. Partnering closely with Sales leadership, you will develop winning presales strategies, guide complex enterprise opportunities, and ensure customers clearly understand the business value of GBG's solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and active customer engagement. You will coach and develop top technical talent, drive presales best practices, and help shape the future of the function through the adoption of AI-enabled tools and processes. Ideal candidates bring a proven track record of leading high-performing presales teams, influencing executive stakeholders, and delivering results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented SaaS or technology environment.

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.
  • Drive the technical sales strategy across North America, guiding discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and customer evaluations.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to align presales activities with revenue objectives and accelerate business growth.
  • Establish and scale best-in-class presales methodologies, processes, and tools to improve consistency, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and executive sponsor on strategic enterprise opportunities, helping customers solve complex identity, fraud, and data challenges.
