Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with flexibility required to support shifts as needed)


Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a private, non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Director of Residential Services, who will work directly with the residential programs and senior management team as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families/guardians, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit. The Director of Residential Services will report to the Senior Director of Program Services.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or at least four years’ practical work experience in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration or special education.
  • At least two years experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitiation, developmental disabilities.
  • Supervisory and management experience required.
  • Experience in not for profit agencies a nice to have.
  • Managing and tracking departmental financials within set budgets.
  • Experience in hiring and maintaining staffing requirments.
  • Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner.
  • Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
  • Medication Certification required.
  • Able to cover residential shifts as needed.
  • Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
