Job description

Description and Responsibilities

Open Sky Community Services is seeking a strategic and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead and advance nursing services across our community-based programs. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered, and trauma-informed care while driving clinical excellence, compliance, and innovation. The Director of Nursing plays a key role in shaping organizational strategy, strengthening workforce development, and integrating care across multidisciplinary teams to support whole-person health.

The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing services across residential and community-based programs, ensure adherence to all applicable regulations (DPH, DMH, DDS, DCF, etc.), lead audits, surveys, and accreditation efforts (e.g., CARF), provide training in trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and medication safety as well as support integrated care across behavioral health, developmental services, and housing. 

Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts with Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, required.
  • Minimum of seven years progressive nursing experience, including leadership roles, required.
  • Experience in behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or community-based care, required.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, required. 
  • Valid Drivers Liense and accepable driving history, required.
