DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT STRATEGY

Dialight is the world leader in LED industrial lighting technology with millions of LED fixtures installed worldwide. We enable industrial customers operating in demanding environments to reduce their energy costs, maintenance costs, and carbon footprint while maximizing the safety and productivity of their facilities.

Position Summary

Dialight is seeking a Director of Product Strategy to define the long-term vision, market positioning, and growth strategy for its product portfolio. This senior leader will align product roadmaps with business objectives and partners across sales, marketing, and engineering to drive commercial success. This role requires strong expertise in B2B marketing within industrial or technical markets, particularly in long sales-cycle environments and value-based selling. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with sales, product, and executive leadership to position Dialight’s solutions effectively and differentiate them in the market.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Vision

  • Develop a cohesive, multi-year product strategy that translates market dynamics, customer needs, and business priorities into actionable investment decisions and product roadmaps.

Voice of the Customer (VoC) & Future Forecasting

  • Provide a 360 degree-view of market trends, customer behavior, and competitors’ activities, including variations between global regions (North America/ EMEA and Asia).
  • Identify opportunities for our continuous differentiation in the market – this includes products and services
  • Translate deep customer listening into actionable inputs for the engineering and R&D teams
  • Develop return on investment models for new product lines including future demand forecasting, product introduction timing and risk analysis.

Product Pitch or Value Proposition Storyline

  • Develop ‘Feature Roadmap’ for our next generation technology and product development – ‘Innovation for Purpose’ to deliver sustained customer driven growth.
  • Develop ‘Value Proposition Storyline’ for different markets (existing or new) around our products and services (existing or new).
  • Identify how the value proposition needs to regionalize to maximize growth across all global markets

Go-To-Market (GTM) Alignment

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing teams to define positioning, pricing models, and launch strategies.
  • Define and communicate value propositions for industrial LED lighting products
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a central connector between engineering, design, legal, and commercial teams to align on product direction, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Support distributor and channel partner marketing initiatives
  • Develop co-marketing programs and sales enablement tools
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor product success and financial viability.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management, product strategy, or corporate strategy
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced technical degree is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to model financials, manage product P&L, and make data-driven decisions. Exceptional executive presence and the ability to present complex strategies clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
