Job description

Healthcare's helping hand.
CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.
Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding
CHG Healthcare is adding a Senior Director of Process Engineering to lead the strategic alignment of business processes and technology capabilities across our sales ecosystem. This senior leader will work directly with business operations, sales subject matter experts, Lean, digital & marketing organization (DMO), and sales divisions to design, document, and implement processes that enable AI-powered technology solutions. This role reports to the VP of Revenue and Sales Operations and is critical to CHG's strategy of leveraging AI and advanced technology to transform our sales and delivery model.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in business process engineering, a proven track record of driving cross-functional alignment on complex technology initiatives, and hands-on experience with AI applications in sales or operations environments. Experience with Salesforce platforms is highly valued.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking combined with pragmatic execution capabilities. You excel at navigating ambiguity, building consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, and translating complex business challenges into clear process solutions. You are as comfortable whiteboarding future state architectures with division presidents as you are working through detailed process maps with frontline teams.
You bring intellectual curiosity about emerging AI technologies and how they can transform traditional business models. You understand that technology is an enabler, not the solution itself-and that sustainable transformation requires equal parts process discipline, change leadership, and cultural engagement.
This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT with flexibility for remote candidates across the United States. Regular travel to CHG offices and division sites may be required.
Responsibilities
Process Design & Strategic Alignment
โ€ข Lead end-to-end process design and documentation for AI-enabled technology solutions prior to development and launch
โ€ข Partner with sales divisions to achieve full alignment on future state process architecture and operating models
โ€ข Translate strategic business objectives into detailed process requirements that guide technology roadmaps
โ€ข Establish process governance frameworks and change management protocols to ensure sustainable adoption
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
โ€ข Serve as the central orchestrator between business operations, sales SMEs, Lean, and DMO teams
โ€ข Build deep relationships with division leaders to understand operational context, pain points, and strategic priorities
โ€ข Drive consensus and executive buy-in on process standards, technology decisions, and implementation timelines
โ€ข Lead process workshops and design sessions with stakeholders across all organizational levels
AI & Technology Integration
โ€ข Translate AI capabilities into practical business process applications that drive measurable outcomes
โ€ข Design processes that optimize for AI-native workflows, automation opportunities, and intelligent decision support
โ€ข Partner with technology teams to ensure process requirements are translated into scalable, secure technical solutions
โ€ข Monitor AI solution performance against process objectives and iterate based on data-driven insights
Team Leadership & Development
โ€ข Manage a team of sales subject matter experts (2 direct reports initially, with growth potential)
โ€ข Potentially assume leadership of the business operations team as organizational needs evolve
โ€ข Build process engineering capabilities across Strategic Operations and embedded partner teams
โ€ข Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence
Preferred
โ€ข Deep experience with AI applications in business operations, sales enablement, or process automation
โ€ข Hands-on experience with Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or custom implementations)
โ€ข Background in sales operations, revenue operations, or go-to-market process design
โ€ข Experience in healthcare, professional services, or staffing industries
โ€ข Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt)
โ€ข Track record of building and scaling high-performing process or operations teams

For this position, we offer a pay range of $163,700 -- $316,500 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.
