The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall clinical operations of the facility, ensuring the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all nursing services within the facility

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Lead QAPI initiatives and drive quality improvement outcomes

  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor management

  • Mentor, coach, and develop nursing leadership and staff

  • Monitor clinical documentation and care plan implementation

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal resident care

  • Support survey readiness and maintain survey compliance

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in good standing

  • Previous experience as a DON or ADON in a skilled nursing facility preferred

  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process

  • Experience managing clinical teams and driving quality metrics

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to foster a positive and accountable team environment
