Job Title: Director of Preconstruction
Company Overview:
Our client is a leading construction firm dedicated to excellence in federal construction and secure facilities. As a key member of their leadership team, you'll play a vital role in overseeing estimating, bid strategies, and project turnover to Operations, ensuring that projects meet client requirements and industry standards for quality and security.
  • The estimated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000 based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate a variety of federal construction projects.
  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate the estimating and preconstruction staff to foster a high-performing team.
  • Establish department goals, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead bid strategy discussions and manage proposal development for both negotiated and competitive procurements.
  • Identify project risks during the preconstruction process and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
  • Serve as the principal subject matter expert for SCIFs and secure facility projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant security standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating and preconstruction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal construction practices and government procurement processes.
