Title:  Outside Operations

Immediate Supervisor: Head Professional, Director of Golf

Hours: Part TTime

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Essential Job Functions: 


Controls golf cart use and cleanliness.

Controls bag storage.

Keeps golf clubs and bags clean after daily use.

Sets up driving range.

Coordinates with Professional Shop for daily operations.

Enforces dress code.

Keeps work areas neat and clean.

Assist with the set up and running of golf tournaments.

Keeps stock of supplies.

Plays with members.

Assists with golf clinics.


Outside Operations (Cart Control)


Provide exceptional hospitality to all customers.

Meet and greet members and guests as they arrive and depart. 

Communicate clearly, concisely and in a professional manner.

Answer questions and provide information and assistance to members and guests. 

Positively promote the service philosophy of the Club.

Maintain knowledge of department and club policies and procedures.

Control golf cart use and cleanliness.

Control golf bag storage room.

Keep golf clubs and bags clean after daily use.

Keep work areas neat and clean.

Keep stock of supplies.

Police for trash.

Enforce dress code.

Set up and break down driving range daily.

Pick and clean golf balls at practice facilities.

Stock practice facilities with clean golf balls.

Maintain practice tee amenities and cleanliness.

Fill divots with sand as needed.

Blow off divots on driving range tee.

Clean clubs at driving range.

Coordinate with starter.

Assist with the set-up and running of golf tournaments.

Assist with golf clinics as needed.

Coordinate with Proshop on a daily basis. 

Maintain acceptable level of play. 

Play with members.

Perform any other tasks requested by the management. 

Work towards achieving "Class A" status with the PGA of America. 



Requirements

Education, experience and skills required:

Graduation from standard senior high school or equivalent.

Knowledge of USGA rules, handicap, course rating system, and the mechanics of the golf swing.

Ability to coordinate and expedite golf activities, such as tournaments.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with golf course staff and the public; maintain a congenial rapport with all those he/she comes in contact with.

Some computer skill preferred.


Essential physical requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Must be able to navigate through rough and uneven terrain.

Must have ability to work in hot and muggy conditions on continuous basis.

Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.

Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above.  

Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time.

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
