Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW -  Everest Client seeks an accomplished, hands-on Director of Operations to lead and optimize a diverse portfolio of customer-facing business operations. This executive leadership role will oversee multiple business units spanning hospitality, food and beverage, retail, lodging, recreational accommodations, and other property-based operations. The Director of Operations will partner closely with executive leadership to drive operational excellence, financial performance, strategic growth, and an exceptional guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and oversight for day-to-day operations across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operating standards, and guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, procedures, and process improvements that drive efficiency, consistency, and profitability.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish business objectives and translate long-term strategy into actionable operating plans and measurable KPIs.
  • Lead strategic initiatives, special projects, operational enhancements, and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee operational budgets, forecasting, cost management, and resource allocation while identifying opportunities to improve margins and financial performance.
  • Monitor key business metrics, including revenue, expenses, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of operational and departmental leaders, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for quality, safety, cleanliness, maintenance, compliance, and property operations.
  • Partner with internal leaders to enhance customer engagement, guest satisfaction, repeat business, and overall experience.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical, scalable solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including significant senior-level responsibility within a complex, multi-department or multi-unit environment.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, food and beverage, lodging, resort, property management, or other customer-facing operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing P&Ls, budgets, forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams across multiple business functions.
  • Proven success driving operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
