Job description

Summary - Everest Search Partners is conducting a search for a Litigation Associate Attorney on behalf of a nationally recognized law firm's Los Angeles CA offices. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience seeking meaningful client exposure, a collaborative team environment, and long-term professional growth. The practice represents major insurance industry clients across a wide range of complex litigation, regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters involving life, health, disability, annuity, long-term care, and property & casualty insurance products.

Responsibilities

  • Handle insurance-related litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy in complex insurance matters
  • Work directly with clients on litigation, regulatory, and compliance-related issues
  • Support matters involving claims disputes, product sales and marketing, anti-fraud, corporate governance, and insurance regulation
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on high-level client matters
  • Engage in client development and industry networking opportunities

Qualifications

  • 5 years of litigation experience, preferably within insurance or complex commercial litigation
  • Active bar admission in the State of California required
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively within a team environment
  • Motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with interest in long-term practice growth and business development
  • Experience working directly with clients in a fast-paced professional environment preferred
