Job description

FCMM Benefits & Retirement is seeking a full-time Director of Operations to lead and oversee the operations of a national ministry serving pastors and missionaries through a $500M+ retirement and benefits platform. The director of operations will oversee plan administration, operational compliance, participant transaction workflows, service provider relationships and process improvement while partnering closely with the president and leadership team to ensure operational excellence, strong stewardship and exceptional service to ministries and participants. This role offers a significant opportunity to strengthen systems, modernize processes and help shape the future operations of a ministry serving churches, pastors, ministry staff and missionaries.

Duties

-Provide leadership for FCMM’s operational functions, ensuring effective policies, workflows, controls, service standards and continuous improvement.
- Oversee retirement plan administration, operational compliance, plan document governance, correction processes, operational risk management and audit readiness.
-Ensure the accurate and timely processing of contributions, enrollments, eligibility changes, terminations, distributions and other participant transactions while maintaining strong operational controls.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for FCMM’s record keeper, technology platforms, benefits administration systems and operational service providers; oversee service-level agreements, provider performance, reporting and system integrations.
-Lead operational initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, participant experience, data integrity and organizational effectiveness.
-Lead and develop operations team members, foster a Christ-centered servant leadership culture and work collaboratively to advance FCMM’s mission and impact.

Job Requirement
  • Mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, aligned with FCMM’s mission and the EFCA Statement of Faith with a desire to model Christ-centered leadership and support God’s work through local churches.
  • Proven operations leader with experience managing complex processes, systems, service providers, compliance functions and service delivery.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to improve processes, lead change, execute priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop staff, foster accountability and cultivate a high-integrity, detail-oriented culture.
  • Experience with retirement plans, benefits administration, financial services, insurance, finance or ministry organizations, including participant transactions, compliance administration and vendor management.
  • Accounting and financial operations experience, along with expertise in benefits administration systems, CRM platforms, operational reporting, workflow automation and process improvement; capable of providing both strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
