Director of Manufacturing Operations
Location: West Chester, OH
Pay: $120-$150k/yr
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Operations Management, or related field required.
  • 8-10+ years of manufacturing management experience with cross-functional oversight in fabrication, assembly, materials management, quality, and process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing managers/supervisors, improving team performance, and leading organizational change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems; Friedman AS400 experience preferred.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, scorecard metrics, and understanding of financial statements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, enforce safety compliance, and maintain high standards of quality and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop direct reports including Production, Shipping, and Maintenance leadership while managing hiring, performance, attendance, and employee development.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations with a focus on people, quality, service, cost, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify operational challenges, implement corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, quality systems, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to company standards and customer expectations.
  • Develop and track operational scorecards, using performance metrics to drive accountability and organizational improvement.
  • Create and manage annual operating budgets, including revenue, expenses, capital expenditures, and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish long-term strategic goals, support company growth initiatives, and improve overall operational scalability.
