Finance Director – ISD/IMP Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world to drive financial excellence in the Industrial Specialty and Industrial Mineral Products Division. The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a Finance Director, you will be a key member of the business team. The division is comprised of six distinct businesses, each with a unique business model and strategic objectives. Your work will require leadership and interaction across global segments, shaping operational strategies and driving performance. Responsibilities Partner with the Division President as part of the operating committee. Provide insightful counsel and analysis to develop and execute multi‐year growth investment strategies. Create a global view coordinating supply, demand, and capacity timing to build near‐, mid‐, and long‐term planning. Represent the division, Safety Industrial and Business Group, and company priorities. Work with business leaders to navigate process and value streams, maximizing value in a dynamic environment. Interact with customers and channel partners to convey value creation offerings of our products and portfolio. Actively participate in portfolio prioritization and new product introductions. Provide ongoing business performance assessment and drive necessary redirection when appropriate. Conduct ROI analysis and drive investment decision making for short, medium, and long‐term opportunities. Partner with business group functions to develop market and competitor knowledge for FP&A. Ensure success is achieved through the utmost ethical and legal means. Develop talent both within and outside finance. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing duties. Your Skills and Expertise Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting. Ten (10) years of finance, economics, engineering, or accounting experience in a private, public, government, or military environment. Five (5) years of leadership experience. Strong financial acumen – ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms. Prior experience in manufacturing finance or cost of goods sold (COGS) management. Strong experience influencing across all levels of an organization. Solid understanding of multiple workstreams and how they converge. Strong business knowledge, acumen, and strategic thinking mindset. Creative problem‐solving ability to work with functional teams to evaluate and address key issues. Risk‐management analysis skills. Self‐starter who drives change while navigating complexity. Track record of challenging the status quo and driving change management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to develop talent beyond direct reporting lines. Work Location and Travel On‐site working model at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN – at least four days a week. Travel may include up to 20% domestic/international. Relocation assistance is not authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits The expected compensation range is $250,253 – $305,864, including base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible. Eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, dental & vision, health savings accounts, HCF & dependent care flexible spending accounts, disability benefits, life insurance, voluntary benefits, paid absences, and retirement benefits.
