JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Purchasing amp; Inventory Control for the HVAC Department is responsible for overseeing all procurement and inventory management activities related to HVAC equipment, materials, and supplies. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing strategies, accurate inventory levels, optimized stocking processes, vendor management, contract negotiations, and strong internal controls to support field operations and company objectives. The position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and expertise in both procurement and inventory systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and supplier performance for HVAC materials and equipment.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to forecast purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Establish and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to HVAC procurement.
  • Drive process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives within the purchasing function.
  • Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Lead and develop a team of purchasing and inventory professionals, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay range for this position is: $115,000 - $145,000.
