Director of Intelligent Automation & AI

Nutex Health is seeking a Director of Intelligent Automation & AI to lead enterprise automation initiativesacross our healthcare organization, which owns and operates micro-hospitals and IndependentPractice Associations (IPAs).


This role follows a phased approach to digital transformation, beginning with corporate andadministrative efficiency using the Microsoft technology stack (Microsoft 365, Power Platform,Azure) and introducing AI capabilities where they deliver clear operational, financial, andproductivity benefits. Over time, the role will help prepare the organization for broader operationaland healthcare-adjacent AI use cases in a HIPAA-compliant, governed manner.
The Director of Intelligent Automation & AI will work closely with business leaders, IT, compliance, security, and operations teamsto deliver measurable value while maintaining business continuity and adherence to HIPAA andother healthcare regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead enterprise automation initiatives using the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft365, Power Platform, Copilot and Azure services
  • Design, build, and deploy production-grade automation and AI-enabled solutions incompliance with HIPAA, privacy, and security requirements
  • Develop and execute a phased roadmap combining automation, analytics, and AI alignedwith business priorities
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve cycle times, and enhance decision-making
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and IT teams to ensure solutionsalign with healthcare regulatory and data protection standards
  • Establish governance and standards for responsible use of automation and AI, includingdata access controls, auditability, and risk management
  • Monitor adoption, performance, and outcomes, and report progress to leadership


QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Healthcare, or a related field
  • 10 + years of experience leading automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Hands-on experience implementing automation and AI solutions using the Microsofttechnology stack (Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions in HIPAA-regulatedenvironments
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
  • Ability to translate business problems into scalable, compliant Microsoft-based solutions

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare services organizations, hospitals, IPAs, or provider networks
  • Experience integrating Microsoft-based automation and AI solutions with EHR, ERP, andline-of-business systems
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security framework
