Get to Know Your Team:
  • Lovelace Medical Center (LMC), in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services. LMC recently acquired New Mexico's first Intuitive da Vinci 5 ® surgical system, demonstrating its commitment to the most advanced technology available in minimally invasive surgery. LMC has 263 licensed beds.
  • Role oversees a complex, multi-site imaging operation serving more than 400 managed beds, leading managers, supervisors, modality leads, and support services while partnering with leaders across the health system to drive efficiency, patient care, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities
  • Directs and administers strategic, operational, fiscal, and personnel activities for all areas of the diagnostic imaging department, including Echo, X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, and PET for both inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Prepares and manages budgets, manages/supervises staff, and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Sciences; Relevant Education and/or experience may be substituted for one another in accordance with policy.
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience, of which three (3) years must be in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant Education and/or experience may be substituted for one another in accordance with policy.
  • Current NM License in one (1) or more Diagnostic Imaging modalities.
  • ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS License.
  • Commensurate experience/skills can substitute for licensure.
  • Knowledge of the radiology field including all imaging modalities.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to develop business plans.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in related field.
  • Director experience in Diagnostic Imaging.
