The Director of Digital Banking is responsible for the strategic leadership and administration of the organization's digital channels, payments capabilities, and related risk management activities. This role supports operational efficiency and business growth by partnering across business units, technology, operations, compliance, and senior leadership to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • E 20% Develop and execute digital banking priorities, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.
    Lead digital banking systems, digital payment operations, audits and examinations, due diligence, and business continuity planning.
  • E 20% Oversee online and mobile banking, bill pay, mobile deposit, digital account opening, debit card controls, ACH origination, Treasury Management support, real-time payments, FedNow, and related digital banking services.
  • E 15% Lead the Bank's payments strategy, including the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing oversight of digital payment products, services, and emerging payment technologies. Drive the adoption of innovative payment solutions, including real-time payments, digital wallets, account-to-account payments, and other evolving payment capabilities to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning.
  • E 10% Manage enhancements, upgrades, launches, platform performance, and consistent experiences across channels.
    Improve customer journeys, usability, satisfaction, and engagement.
  • E 5% Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to support business objectives.
  • E 5% Collaborate with marketing, operations, and IT to deliver customer-centered digital solutions.
  • E 5% Lead cross-functional digital projects, coordinating stakeholders, timelines, budgets, risk management, and deliverables through successful implementation.
  • E 5% Analyze digital performance, customer behavior, and operational data to recommend improvements and report results to leadership.
  • E 5% Ensure digital platforms meet regulatory, privacy, security, risk, business continuity, incident response, and customer awareness requirements in partnership with Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Security.
  • E 5% Lead team members, foster innovation and continuous improvement, and promote collaboration across the organization.
  • N 5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:

  2. 2. To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • Education Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Finance, Banking, or related field.
  • Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Other Skills Knowledge of project management, product development, technology delivery, financial services operations, or related work.
    Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, digital improvements, customer-focused enhancements, and analytics efforts.
    Strong knowledge of digital technologies, website and mobile application management, analytics, reporting, project management, vendor management, stakeholder influence, communication, strategic thinking, and problem solving.
    Experience in ACH (Automated Clearing House) electronic payment processing.
    Experience in banking regulations, risk management, information security, authentication, and customer awareness practices.

Physical Requirements The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
