About the Role
Adonis is adding a new AI/ML Lead to be our strategic technical leader who is driving the development, implementation, and governance of artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives across the organization. This role combines deep healthcare domain expertise with advanced AI/ML knowledge to ensure Adonis delivers cutting-edge, compliant, and valuable AI solutions to healthcare customers. This position sits at the intersection of data science, engineering, product development, and healthcare industry expertise.

In this role, you must establish and drive this vision across the organization, positioning AI as a strategic force that powers Adonis's revenue cycle management solutions. You'll also define how AI transforms our ability to help healthcare providers recover more revenue, reduce manual effort, and build intelligent, scalable foundations for their revenue cycle operations.
What You'll Do:
  • AI Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute the overarching AI/ML strategy for Adonis, aligning with business objectives and healthcare industry needs
  • Incremental Value Delivery: Balance long-term strategic AI initiatives with quick wins that deliver immediate business impact for revenue cycle management
  • DS/ML Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Data Science and Machine Learning teams, fostering innovation and excellence in AI development
  • AI Governance & Compliance: Establish and maintain a robust AI governance framework ensuring all solutions meet healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA, etc.)
  • Solution Architecture: Design scalable, production-ready AI/ML architectures that drive value for healthcare customers
  • External Value Demonstration: Quantify and communicate the tangible benefits of Adonis AI solutions to customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • MLOps Excellence: Drive best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models in production environments
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure AI initiatives deliver maximum value

We'd Love for You to Have:
  • Eight plus years experience with AI/ML: Deep understanding of machine learning techniques, especially those applicable to healthcare
  • Healthcare Expertise: Substantial experience in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, or related fields
  • Production AI Experience: Proven track record of taking AI models / products from concept to production in complex environments
  • Technical Leadership: Experience leading data science and engineering teams
  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical capabilities into tangible business value
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, holding strong opinions loosely and valuing input from others
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations affecting AI deployment (HIPAA, FDA, etc.)
  • Ethics & Governance: Strong understanding of ethical AI principles and governance frameworks

The base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $275,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus program, company equity, and a competitive benefits package.

Compensation Philosophy
Actual base pay will depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Adonis determines compensation based on each candidate's experience and qualifications relative to peers, and most new hires fall near the middle of the range.
