Job description

The Senior Director, Electrical Construction is responsible for building and growing the sales pipeline for the LPI Construction business, providing oversight of business and technical reviews, and supervising all aspects of construction project management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Director of the LPI Electrical Contractor Business is responsible for supporting industrial electrical construction sales and to maintain a good business relationship with customers to build a healthy project backlog. A candidate is also responsible to oversee both business and technical review, coordination, supervision and of all aspects of construction project management. This includes managing resources, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for electrical construction and electrical materials, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Define and meet defined business targets for overall business.
  • Grow sales volume, key accounts and pricing by providing oversight of current supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Manage resources, ensure adherence to safety standards, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve project
    • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape. This includes identifying emerging opportunities, threats, and potential partnerships that will enhance our position in the market.
    • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
    • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand.
    • Monitor and manage the performance, schedules, effectiveness, and efficiencies of all work performed by subcontractors.
    • Monitoring customer, market, and competitor activities, and providing feedback to the leadership team and other company functions.
    • Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented.
    • Develop detailed planning and scheduling of the electrical work for company projects.
  • Responsible for electrical scope, budgets, and bid documents related to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) related projects.
  • Provide hands-on oversight of construction projects, including the:
    • Development and implementation of project plans for the completion of work orders.
    • Maintenance of accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and correspondence.
    • Oversight of the performance, schedules, effectiveness, and efficiencies of all work performed by internal and outside contractors.
    • Monitoring and controlling of expenses to ensure projects stay within budget.
    • Oversight of multiple projects in different stages of construction.
    • Perform on-site inspections for conformance to contract Verify that all inspections are complete and passed by the controlling entity.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional operations and corporate support teams on issues critical to project
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by creating an environment where safety is our number one priority. Establish and provide oversight of all safety and environmental standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in mega electrical construction projects with 5+ years of experience in project management experience or equivalent or higher leadership position.
  • Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of applicable industrial electrical standards (UL, ISA, IEEE, NEMA, etc.)
  • Ability to work under high pressure environments and meet project deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
