Schedule: Tuesdays - Saturdays or Sundays - Thursdays (Business Hours) Pay Range: $105,000 - $115,000 per year (DOE)**Job Summary:**The Director of Health Services (DHS) leads the overall implementation of clinical health and wellness services in the community. The DHS serves as a liaison between families, hospital personnel, physicians, community organizations, and other related service agencies to provide quality care to MBK Senior Living residents. The DHS collaborates with the Director of Sales and the Executive Director (ED) to set the stage for MBK Senior Living to become the senior living provider of choice. Additionally, the DHS is responsible for coordinating care with outside agencies, communicating with families, managing a clinical team, and developing personalized plans of care for residentsโ€™ needs, then communicating them to the care team.**Supervisory Responsibilities:*** Interview, hire, train, set performance goals and timelines, monitor performance, and provide coaching for Medication Technicians.**Duties & Responsibilities:*** Conduct and coordinate assessments/evaluations of potential residents and make recommendations for admission in accordance with current rules, regulations, and community policies and procedures.* Conduct and/or approve routinely scheduled re-assessments and change of condition assessments promptly.* Draft initial Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and update based on schedule and change of condition for residents and partner with ED to review with responsible parties and/or residents.* Alert the ED, family members, and others (as necessary) of any changes in residentsโ€™ physical or emotional health, and institute interventions as appropriate.* Assess the communityโ€™s ability to meet resident needs under licensure and collaborate with the ED on plans to retain the residents or move them to a higher level of care when necessary.* Develop and maintain good working relationships and effective communication with families and service providers.* Train, assign, and supervise Medication Technicians.* Perform all administrative duties accurately and timely, including expense reporting, submission of invoices, team member evaluations, etc.* Coordinate prescription orders with doctorsโ€™ offices, as well as pharmacy delivery of medications, including oversight of the central storage, tracking, and delivery of medications, and ensuring the Medication Administration Records are completed according to company policy and State regulations.* Responsible for the overall safety, health, and wellness of residents.* Ensure that clinical and care-related regulations and policies are closely monitored and followed.* Ensure that physician orders are carried out properly.* Aid in the community marketing effort through positive interactions, acting as a liaison between the community and families/outside health service providers.* Key management member acting as Manager on Duty when necessary.* Collaborate with Department Directors on resident care and caregiver oversight.* Collaborate with the Regional Director of Health Services to ensure compliance with MBK policy and procedure and State Regulatory Guidelines* Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.* Understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures concerning the department.* Promote and lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication in accordance with the MBK principles and core values.* Manage labor and other expenses to align with the community budget.* Perform other job duties or special projects as assigned or requested by Supervisor and/or Regional Team.**Education Requirements:*** College Degree required or equivalent work experience and license.* Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Nursing, Human Services, or the Health Care field is highly desirable.**Experience Requirements (in years):*** 2+ years of prior related work experience functioning in a similar healthcare management role, within a similar industry/work environment is essential.* 2+ years of prior management or supervisory experience required.**Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications****:*** Licensed RN, LPN, or LVN and must adhere to all requirements to have and maintain a license, including CEU completion and timely renewal.* CPR certification required.* Must complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).* Valid state-issued driverโ€™s license and valid insurance or reliable method of transportation for resident assessments.* Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook) and operating standard office equipment.* Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, and read English.* Must possess the ability to make sound, independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and to remain calm during stressful or emergency situations.* Must possess the ability to always deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests.* Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.**Physical Demands & Work Environment:*** Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive motion.* Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, in the community, and between neighborhoods.* Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods.* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary.* Ability to assist in the physical movement of residents during routine transfers or in emergency situations.* Ability to travel within 50 miles of
