Job description

SRC, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Business Development Director to lead strategic growth across the Office of the Under Secretary of War (OUSW) enterprise. This high‑impact role centers on developing and capturing OUSW opportunities across Research & Engineering (R&E), Intelligence & Security (I&S), and Acquisition & Sustainment (A&S) mission portfolios.

This position demands extensive knowledge of OUSW requirements, R&E program development, I&S intelligence mission needs, A&S acquisition processes, and technical familiarity with radar systems, electronic warfare capabilities, intelligence mission data, and related defense technologies. 

What You’ll Do
Drive OUSW, R&E, I&S, and A&S Growth: Identify and capture business across OUSW, R&E, I&S, and A&S mission areas. Focus on opportunities tied to SRC’s radar system capabilities, electronic warfare portfolio , and intelligence mission data solutions. Build deep domain awareness of OUSW customer priorities, R&E development pathways, I&S intelligence requirements, and A&S acquisition processes. Maintain continuous engagement with OUSW stakeholders.

Lead OUSW Capture Strategy Development: Create comprehensive capture plans mapped to OUSW acquisition cycles and funding environments. Shape OUSW requirements through proactive engagement with senior decision-makers. Develop competitive win themes specific to radar, electronic warfare , and intelligence mission data mission sets. Lead proposals focused on OUSW radar initiatives, OUSW intelligence data modernization, and OUSW technology transition efforts.

Guide OUSW-Aligned Technology & Product Development: Translate customer problem sets to engineering requirements for radar, advanced electronic warfare passive and active sensing, and intelligence mission data solutions. Support early-stage R&E concept exploration, I&S intelligence studies, and A&S acquisition planning. Provide detailed customer feedback that directs radar system roadmaps, intelligence data tools, and OUSW-aligned technology development. Ensure internal communication of milestones tied to OUSW, R&E, I&S, and A&S efforts.

Expand Existing OUSW Programs: Strengthen relationships within R&E, I&S, and A&S offices to expand established OUSW programs. Identify growth opportunities for radar, electronic warfare , and intelligence mission data products. Work closely with execution teams to maintain superior performance across all OUSW-supported efforts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor degree in related field with 15+ related experience, including 5+ years' BD experience
  • Capture experience supporting OUSW, R&E, I&S, A&S, radar and electronic warfare systems, intelligence, or intelligence mission data programs
  • Active U.S. Secret clearance; able to maintain
  • Eligible for U.S. Top Secret clearance
  • Proven experience developing relationships with OUSW leaders
  • Deep understanding of OUSW priorities, R&E technical development, I&S intelligence operations, A&S acquisition processes, and radar/intelligence mission architectures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional capture teams
  • Strong communication skills, including briefing senior OUSW officials
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Located in Washington, DC
