Job Purpose
The Account Management Manager is responsible for leading a team of Account Managers covering the Futures, OTC Clearing & FX Prime Brokerage (FDC) client base. The role is accountable for driving portfolio revenue growth, client retention, client satisfaction, and execution of strategic objectives across the account management function. The Manager provides leadership, coaching, and oversight to ensure consistent client coverage, effective risk management, and delivery of best-in-class service while promoting cross-business collaboration and franchise growth.
Job Background / Context
The Account Management Manager leads a team responsible for the overall client experience within Prime Services. The Manager ensures that Account Managers maintain a comprehensive understanding of client strategies, business objectives, and revenue opportunities while executing against commercial, service, and risk management priorities. The role partners closely with Sales, Product, Risk, Operations, Technology, and senior business leadership to drive client retention, revenue growth, and operational excellence across the FDC franchise.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Account Managers, fostering a high-performance and client-centric culture.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning activities.
  • Drive consistency in client coverage models, service standards, and best practices across the portfolio.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and client coverage across priority relationships.

Portfolio & Revenue Management
  • Accountable for overall portfolio profitability, revenue growth, retention, and return metrics across the team's client base.
  • Oversee client wallet analysis and partner with Account Managers to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic growth and cross-sell opportunities across Prime Services and Markets businesses.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and actively manage business opportunities and revenue concentration risks.

Client Relationship Oversight
  • Oversee client engagement strategy and executive-level client reviews, ensuring timely identification and resolution of client concerns and evolving business requirements.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for critical client issues, service concerns, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure clients receive a consistent, high-quality experience aligned with Citi's service standards and strategic objectives.

Risk & Control
  • Ensure the team effectively executes first-line risk and control responsibilities, maintaining adherence to prescribed risk parameters and escalation protocols.
  • Promote a strong risk and control culture while balancing client needs and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor portfolio-level risk trends and ensure appropriate governance and escalation.

Strategic Leadership
  • Execute strategic initiatives that enhance client experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Identify trends within the portfolio and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Represent Account Management in cross-functional forums and governance committees.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Technology teams to drive process improvement and service optimization initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience within Futures, OTC Clearing, FX Prime Brokerage, Prime Services, or related Markets businesses.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks.
  • Broad cross-product knowledge covering Futures, Equities, Fixed Income, FX, and Cleared Swaps.
  • Proven track record managing complex client portfolios and leading cross-functional initiatives.
