Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking a Director of Nursing - Perioperative Services to include Cardiac Cath Lab, Central Sterile Processing, and Gastrointestinal Lab
Our ideal candidate will provide administrative and operational oversight for Peri-Operative Services to include, Operating Rooms, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Pre Admission Testing, Gastrointestinal Lab, and Central Sterile Processing. In collaboration with the medical staff, this role will provide clinical direction and manage activities related to the care management of the population served. Responsible for nursing quality programs that are outcome oriented and will develop and implement programs/plans in accordance with government regulations, licensing and accreditation requirements that effectively utilize resources to reach the organizations short- and long-term strategic goals/objectives/mission.
Oversees programs to ensure adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards
Develop and implement goals, objectives, and policies/ procedures for assigned service areas to support the overall provision of care and optimize patient outcomes. Collaborate with the administrative team to identify growth opportunities within the assigned service areas. This includes, but not limited to managing operational efficiencies, optimizing physician relationships, and overseeing quality performance improvement initiatives. Provide coaching and support to team and staff. Serves as a role model in championing professional behavior, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • BSN required. Master's in Nursing, Healthcare or Administration preferred.
  • BLS, ALS required.
  • 5 years or more in Perioperative and Central Sterile Processing leadership.
  • Active RN License (District of Columbia), CSSM preferred, CNOR preferred.
