The Director of Nursing responsibilities include:
  • Oversight of the clinical care of all residents
  • Ensuring continued adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Management and oversight of all nursing staff
  • Providing planning, organization, education, supervision, and evaluation of all services provided in the facility
  • Ensuring that all department staff is properly trained to perform their required duties

Requirements
Director of Healthcare Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of Director of Nursing experience preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations in long-term care
  • Experience with the applicable state Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare and Medicaid
