IT Manager Network Services

3 days/ wk hybrid on site in Boca Raton - FL, Irving - TX, Blue Bell PA, OR San Francisco, CA.

12 24 months contract to hire

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing IT personnel including FTE, MSP, and third-party providers pertaining to the design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of enterprise network technologies across hybrid footprint. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud network engineering, network technologies, and infrastructure deployment. A proven ability to lead and mentor diverse teams, running 247 enterprise operations. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management of team and assigned projects.
  • Responsible for overall financial, scope, and critical path management for assigned projects.
  • Manage the financial, time, and resource aspects of project against a set budget and project plan.
  • Drive network cost center forecasting, capital equipment, and yearly budgets; support upper management in overall Core Infrastructure budget.
  • Define service levels, service agreements, and manage IT network operations.
  • Review and evaluate work and prepare performance reports.
  • Establish processes to identify, track, escalate, resolve, and report customer-related issues.
  • Collaborate with customer to define standards and measures for quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate system analysis and applications development activities through direct, indirect staff and cross functional teams.
  • Engineer network solutions utilizing Cisco L2/L3 BGP config, Palo Alto tools, VMware NSX-T/AVI, F5 across on-prem DC and Clouds.
  • Proficient in WAN, understanding of interconnects, IPSec, MPLS, WAF, Global DNS, Load Balance and web NAT.
  • Assist and recommend process and quality improvement activities for the organization.
  • Perform as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
  • Provide vision and strategy for improvements.
  • Lead and direct cross-functional teams in the areas of scheduling, technology direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
  • Responsible for personnel decisions including performance review and hire/fire activities.
  • Mentor employees on career development and performance improvement.
  • Manage and mentor supervisors, project leads, and/or technical staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud and network infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 8 10 years in IT and 3-5 years managing engineering teams.
  • Certifications: (Preferred) CCNA, AWS, GCP, VCP-DCV Vmware certified professional, Azure network engineering.
  • Proven expertise in cloud network engineering and security, with hands-on experience in Azure, OCI, AWS, and GCP.
  • Extensive knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, with successful implementation and management.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
