Job Description
We are seeking a Sys Admin with good knowledge of networking or a Network Engineer with good knowledge of Sys Admin.Responsible for overall operation of the computing infrastructure, including networks, servers, desktops, security, and peripherals on a daily basis.Works with other IT and non-IT staff to complete goals & maintain the infrastructure.Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.Uses knowledge of Windows, Linux, design, build, manage and maintain physical and virtual servers.Willing to take ownership of systems, to improve on existing and plan for growth.The System Admin reports to the Director of Technology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for design, installation, programming, maintenance and support for systems including but not limited to servers, networks, telephony (including VoIP), cable infrastructure, routers, switches, virtual machines, e-mail, anti-spam, asset management, backups, system monitoring, alerts, disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Supports staff by educating on technology and capabilities.
  • Willing to support level 1 and 2 issues. (Level 1 is not long term job function)
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education Required : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum Required:
  • 4-8 years progressive or related job experience.
  • Managing Active Directory in an enterprise environment (3+ years)
  • Familiar with and performed PowerShell scripting (3+ years)
  • Group Policy, Profile Management, and DNS administration (3+ years)
  • Terminal Services configuration and management.
  • Experience supporting LAN
  • DHCP and DNS experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • A passionate drive to provide excellence in IT support to your users
  • Self-guiding and confident in well-rounded knowledge of IT (applications, systems, and networking)
  • A+, Network+, or Security+ Certifications are preferred
  • Impeccable integrity and confidentiality

Knowledge of migration to Office 365 (preferred)
