Pay: $15.00 Plus Commission Opportunity for Contracts and Accessory and Maintenance Plan Sales

Position Summary:

Schmitt Music is seeking a seasonal, part-time Sales Associate to assist new incoming band and orchestra students in choosing the instrument of their dreams! The purpose of this job is to provide excellent customer service to students and parents when completing the Better Than Rent contracts at various locations within Schmitt’s service area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and parents.
  • Assist new band and orchestra students in selecting instruments.
  • Complete Better Than Rent contracts at various Schmitt Music locations.
  • Collaborate with a team of creative music professionals.
  • Use the point-of-sale system for sales, inventory, and updating customer records.
  • Help customers, restock showroom, and receive inventory.
  • Ability to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Attend and complete training sessions.
Work Environment:
  • Retail and office-type working conditions.
  • Occasional school settings.
Physical Demands:
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, and sit.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • May lift up to 20-30 pounds.
  • May occasionally climb a ladder, bend over, and kneel to put stock away and move merchandise.
