Job description

Canvas is seeking qualified candidates to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS II contract at Eglin AFB in Florida. The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental test agency for air-to-air, air-to-surface, direct-fire, and advanced munitions. The candidate should have a working knowledge of and experience in conventional munitions systems, munitions accountability procedures and familiarity with munitions loading procedure USAF, USN, or Marines fighter/bomber tactics and or airborne weapons employment.


Duties:

  • Coordinate, submit, and conduct resourcescheduling missions in the Eglin CSE System to prepare test assets for mission requirements.
  • Schedule, observe, and monitor the assembly, measurement, and modification of test items and components.
  • Assist with install of specialized test data components, including weapon telemetry units, weaponsystem fuzes, and other required hardware.
  • Observe aircraft loading operations for test items and perform weapon, aircraft, and system preflight and postflight activities.
  • Operate flightline vehicles and maintain qualifications in munitions safety with authorized access to the Eglin Munitions Area.
  • Coordinate with customers to develop and draft technical procedures for handling test munitions and associated components.
  • Conduct Technical Order Validation and Verification (TOVV) for munitions systems.
  • Perform annual reviews of local technical data packages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with Eglin Munitions and associated test agencies throughout all phases of the test process.
  • Work with the 780th Munitions Account/Supply Point Custodian to forecast and submit annual and outofcycle munitions requirements.
  • Accepts, tracks, and processes inbound test assets and equipment, ensuring all items are entered into the Eglin system and made available for test use.
  • Supports Test Engineers in configuring allupround munitions for individual test programs; coordinates transportation and movement of all division explosive and nonexplosive munitions and components on and off Eglin AFB.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in applicable discipline or related technical degree and 10 years of relevant experience; *Years of experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Special Access Programs.
  • Self-Motivated to learn new systems under test and be proactive to meet program requirements and take responsibility for identifying, organizing, coordinating, executing necessary tasks leading to the successful accomplishment of assigned duties.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to multiple stakeholders and resolve competing test resource requirements.
  • Must have strong communication skills and possess some technical writing skills.
  • Analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented and able to communicate in oral and written form
  • Able to work as part of an integrated team and be able to prioritize and manage their work to achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders and resolve competing test resource requirements

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and able to obtain Top Secret clearance if needed.

  • Experience in DoD conventional and developmental munitions processes.
  • DoD aircraft munitions loading procedures.
  • Experience with Eglin Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE)
  • Familiarity with munitions expenditures and accountability
