Job description

Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, an AGS Accredited Jeweler, with nine locations across four states, is seeking a full-time Microsoft System Administrator to join our Corporate Office located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.


The ideal candidate will maintain both on premise and cloud systems (Azure, Entra, Microsoft 365) in partnership with the IT Director and in accordance with the business priorities, objectives and industry best practices.


Technically creative systems thinkers are encouraged to apply to this high-pace role. Technical domains essential for this role include those covered by: AZ-104, SC-300, MS-102 and MD-102 in addition to foundation system and networking knowledge. Practical experience preferred; certifications not essential.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Researches & implements new solutions to meet new and ongoing business objectives using combinations of both on premise and modern cloud architectures.
  • Deploys, Configures, Monitors & Maintains server and cloud resources and services.
  • Configures and Maintains enterprise applications, SSO, virtual networking, resource groups and application properties.
  • Monitors & Manages both cloud and on premise servers for security events, application errors and other exceptions.
  • Maintains security updates & EDR systems on all systems including desktops.
  • Assists with network maintenance and firewall configuration and policy as needed
  • Provides backup support to helpdesk personnel as needed in advanced troubleshooting system support; partners with product owners and outside groups for resolution as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Full Proficiency in English: Written and Verbal
  • Knowledge and experience managing, configuring & securing Windows servers utilizing Group Policy, Intune, Arc and similar. Experience and familiarity with MDM/EMM for mobile devices and conditional access proficiency for enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with using and developing PowerShell scripting for administration, standardization and automation ideal.
  • Prior experience using and managing Microsoft cloud and on-premise services
  • Prior experience managing VMWare and/or JAMF Pro.
  • Physical ability to walk up and down stairs, occasionally lift equipment up to 40 lbs. and use hand tools as related to system maintenance, as needed.


Work Environment Overview:

  • On-site, full time position located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Non-remote.
  • Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm with occasional night and weekend work, as needed. Extended hours may be required during holiday and peak selling seasons.
  • Typical office environment, shared office space.
