Summary of Role:

Reporting to the Vice President of the Home & Industrial IoT End Market at GlobalFoundries, the segment owner for industrial, robotics & power will have subject matter expertise in a diverse set of applications including physical AI, factory automation, autonomous systems, collaborative robotics (cobots), motor control, and power conversion.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand market dynamics and architectural trends across industrial automation, robotics, humanoids, and power systems.
  • Define market requirements for new technology features and design IPs, including MRDs for motor control, power distribution/conversion, and autonomous system components.
  • Evaluate compute and memory architecture tradeoffs for low-power, connected, and AI-enabled industrial and autonomous systems.
  • Identify GF technology platforms and differentiating features (e.g., body-biasing, fast memory access, specialty memory) that best serve customer needs.
  • Drive design win funnel growth and tape-out revenue targets through strategic account planning for respective segment
  • Provide domain leadership in industrial system architectures such as factory automation and humanoid robots including microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, zonal vs. distributed system designs.
  • Understand robotic autonomy levels (L0-L4), edge AI deployment tools, and software-controlled systems.
  • Influence platform development for embedded security, specialty embedded memory, and compute hardware accelerators (NPU/GPU).
  • Ensure ownership and accountability across Sales, Design Enablement, Fab Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Create compelling collateral to articulate GF's value proposition to customers and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers and ecosystem partners to shape market direction over a 5+ year horizon.
  • Represent GF externally at conferences, trade shows, and webinars as a champion of industrial and robotics solutions.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years in semiconductor fabless or IDM companies, or industry OEMs
  • Experience with developing semiconductor product roadmaps, defining new products and taking concepts through IC design to tape out and ramp
  • Deep understanding of industrial and robotics compute architectures, including motor control, sensor fusion, hardware accelerators and embedded security
  • Familiarity with GF technologies and design enablement flows
  • Strong business acumen and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+years in semiconductor fabless or IDM companies, or industry OEMs
  • Experience with developing semiconductor product roadmaps, defining new products and taking concepts through IC design to tape out and ramp
  • Experience in hardware/software co-design for Physical AI and autonomous systems
  • Experience in digital and analog mixed signal design with GF technologies or competitive set
  • Fluency in a second language to support global growth markets

Expected Salary Range

$166,300.00 - $314,200.00
