A well-established membership organization is seeking a Director of Advertising Sales & Media Operations to drive revenue growth and oversee the day-to-day operations of its multi-platform media business.


This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines a strong background in media advertising sales and new business development with the operational and financial skills to help grow an established media portfolio across print, digital, events, sponsorships, and content.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and an active contributorโ€”someone who can lead a team while personally developing new business, improving processes, and identifying new revenue opportunities.


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Lead advertising revenue generation across print, digital, events, sponsorships, content, and other media platforms.
  • Prospect, develop, and close new advertising and sponsorship business while managing and growing existing accounts.
  • Identify new revenue streams and monetization opportunities across media products and events.
  • Lead and develop the advertising sales team while remaining actively involved in new business development.
  • Oversee advertising operations, including customer service, fulfillment, marketing, promotions, and technology partners.
  • Develop customized, integrated proposals across multiple media channels.
  • Serve as a key user and champion of the organizationโ€™s CRM.
  • Partner cross-functionally on revenue growth, audience development, marketing, and operational initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, and P&L-related responsibilities.
  • Establish and track KPIs to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for growth.


What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Proven track record of advertising or media sales success across multiple platforms.
  • Strong new business development/hunter mentality, with demonstrated success prospecting and closing new opportunities.
  • Experience selling integrated solutions across print, digital, events, sponsorships, and/or content.
  • Experience leading and developing sales professionals while remaining hands-on in the sales process.
  • Strong operational, project, and process management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a strong focus on execution.
  • Experience within B2B media, associations, publishing, or a related environment is a plus.
