Job description

Role Overview

The Director of Operations is the person who makes everything else possible. You will be the operational spine of LIFE Enterprise โ€” responsible for keeping Ben Greenfield LIFE and TRIUMPH Coaching running, scaling, and executing at the level both brands demand. You'll partner closely with executive leadership, but you won't be waiting for direction. You'll see what needs to happen and make it happen.

You will directly manage a mixed team of full-time employees and contractors. You'll be the one setting the standard, holding the line, and developing the people around you, all at once.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end operations across Ben Greenfield LIFE and TRIUMPH Coaching under the LIFE Enterprise umbrella, products, programs, partnerships, and the systems that hold it all together.
  • See the gaps before they become fires. Act without being asked. If something is broken or missing, you fix it or build it, you don't wait for a meeting to authorize it.
  • Build, enforce, and continuously improve SOPs and operational infrastructure that can scale across a multi-vertical brand.
  • Directly manage a blended team of full-time employees and contractors, setting expectations clearly, holding people accountable, and building real capability in the people around you.
  • Serve as a true strategic partner to executive leadership, translating vision into operational plans and making sure execution actually follows.
  • Own vendor and supplier relationships end-to-end: negotiation, performance management, compliance, and accountability.
  • Lead resource allocation and budget oversight across operations, protecting quality while finding efficiency.
  • Drive growth infrastructure across physical products, digital content, and coaching verticals, building ahead of demand, not in reaction to it.
  • Own the metrics. Track what matters, surface what's off, and bring clear operational insight to leadership without being prompted.
  • Be the connective tissue across sales, marketing, product, and fulfillment, the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks between teams.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • 7+ years in operations, with at least 3 at a senior or director level, in health & wellness, consumer brands, media, or a high-growth DTC environment.
  • You don't wait to be managed. You see what needs to be done, you do it, and you move on to the next thing. This is non-negotiable.
  • You've led mixed teams, employees and contractors, and know how to get the best out of both without micromanaging either.
  • You've built operational systems from scratch and scaled them. You know what good infrastructure looks like because you've built it.
  • You're equally comfortable in a strategy conversation and in the weeds of a vendor dispute or process breakdown. The hat-switching doesn't throw you.
  • Strong analytical instincts, you use data to drive decisions, not to confirm what you already assumed.
  • Sharp communicator, with executives, with your team, and with external partners. You write clearly, speak directly, and don't bury the point.
  • You genuinely believe in the mission. Optimizing human health, performance, and longevity isn't just a brand line to you, it's something you live.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience in the health, wellness, or biohacking space, as a brand operator.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, coaching platforms, and digital content operations.
  • Experience managing remote-first, distributed teams across time zones.
  • Prior work inside a personal brand or founder-led company at scale, you know what that environment actually feels like.
