Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ emotional and psychological well-being and develop personalized treatment plans accordingly.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet diverse client needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
  • Set therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and regularly monitor their progress to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment approaches.
  • Provide teletherapy options to ensure accessibility for clients facing geographical barriers or those with mobility challenges.
  • Maintain precise documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to uphold ethical standards and comply with licensing regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and peer supervision to stay updated with best practices and emerging trends in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic caters to a diverse clientele, including adults and adolescents grappling with a range of mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, and stress-related issues. As a mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in addressing these complex conditions, enabling clients to navigate their emotional landscapes and work towards sustainable mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid license in the state of Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective client engagement and support.
  • A non-judgmental attitude, with high levels of empathy and compassion to foster trust and openness with clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a varied caseload.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for counseling and therapy services.
  • Previous work in community health settings or experience with underserved populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly in documentation and billing procedures.
