Work Schedule and Hours - This is a 10 month per year position working August through May. Approximately 40 hours per week, including occasional weekday evening or Sunday evening hours based on operational needs.

Position Summary - The Parsons Mathematics Assistance Center (known as the Math Lab) at UNC Asheville provides high-quality academic support in mathematics and statistics through extensive drop-in tutoring services. The Director leads all Math Lab operations, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff and tutors, and managing policies, budgets, technology, and assessment efforts. This role requires strong mathematical expertise, effective communication skills, and commitment to fostering a welcoming, student-centered learning environment that supports academic success.

FLSA - Exempt

Required Education/Experience/Skills - Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. Candidates must have the ability to effectively assist with college-level mathematics through the 300-level and introductory statistics. Candidates must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to function professionally in a highly collaborative and increasingly dynamic organization.
