Job description

Make a Difference in the Lives of Seniors and Their Families
At Visiting Angels, we believe people thrive when they can safely remain in the comfort of their own homes. We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a unique, flexible role focused on medication management, caregiver education, and nursing oversight.
This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys teaching, working independently, and building relationships with caregivers and clients-without the demands of a traditional bedside nursing schedule.
What You'll Do
As our Registered Nurse, you will:
  • Train caregivers in Oregon-approved medication administration procedures
  • Conduct annual medication administration recertifications
  • Perform nurse delegation training for delegated care tasks
  • Complete initial medication management assessments for new clients
  • Conduct 90-day medication supervisory visits
  • Review and update client medication profiles
  • Complete all required documentation in AxisCare
  • Collaborate with our Care Coordinator regarding client needs and caregiver training
  • Participate in quarterly Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings
What We're Looking For
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Ability to travel locally to client homes
  • Experience in home care, medication management, or caregiver education preferred
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to document electronically
Why Join Visiting Angels?
  • Flexible schedule
  • Meaningful, relationship-based work
  • Supportive office team
  • Opportunity to educate and mentor caregivers
  • Make a direct impact on helping seniors remain safely at home
  • Family-focused, locally owned agency with a strong reputation in Central Oregon
Schedule
  • Approximately 5 hours per week
  • Flexible / Self Schedule
Pay
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Join Our Team
If you're looking for a rewarding nursing role that allows you to use your clinical knowledge while enjoying flexibility and work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and become part of the Visiting Angels family, where compassion, excellence, and dignity guide everything we do.
