Job description

REGISTERED NURSE

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents by monitoring vital signs, developing and updating resident care plan for completion of treatment goals, reviewing residents' charts for physician orders, progress notes and physical complaints, and performing other nursing procedures as directed. Because the Arkansas Health Center is a long-term nursing home facility the Registered Nurses generally work 12 hours shifts and rotating schedules. This position starts at the Entry Rate of $75,245.00 Annually but may be adjusted by experience and years of service. Employees are required to work rotating shifts and generally work 12-hour shifts. May require lifting and positioning of patients, walking, use of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices.

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders.
  • Develop, implement, and update patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
