NOW CFO is seeking a Manager, Market Development to lead relationship-driven growth across the Phoenix market. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid role with a strong emphasis on in-person engagement throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission, health benefits, and a 401(k).

NOW CFO provides outsourced accounting, finance, and strategic consulting solutions to businesses across a wide range of industries. This role suits a polished business development professional who knows how to build trusted relationships, navigate executive-level conversations, and turn a strong local network into sustainable revenue growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep ties to the Phoenix business community, strong business and financial acumen, and a proven track record of developing opportunities through networking, referrals, strategic partnerships, and direct outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead market development across the Phoenix metropolitan area, generating new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, LinkedIn, and community involvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with business owners, C-suite executives, investors, and other key decision-makers.
  • Develop referral partnerships with CPA firms, banks, private equity firms, law firms, and other professional service organizations.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospective clients' operational, accounting, and financial challenges, then qualify opportunities and connect them with NOW CFO's Directors for scoping and proposals.
  • Maintain momentum through the sales cycle and support a smooth handoff into service delivery.
  • Plan, host, and attend networking events and community activities that strengthen NOW CFO's visibility in Phoenix.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and referral partners that generate repeat business and continued market growth.
  • Keep CRM records, pipeline data, and forecasts accurate and current.
  • Collaborate with the Phoenix Market President, Directors, consultants, and the broader regional leadership team.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of proven success in business development, relationship management, consultative sales, or advisory services, ideally within professional services, accounting, finance, or a related relationship-driven field.
  • An established professional network in the Phoenix metro area and strong knowledge of the local business community and its key organizations.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with business owners and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and the ability to understand complex organizational needs.
  • Polished communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a consultative approach that builds credibility quickly.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with consistent follow-up and pipeline management.
  • Comfortable with CRM platforms, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and related technology.
  • Resilient and motivated through longer, relationship-based sales cycles.
  • Able to travel throughout the Phoenix area for meetings, events, and client interactions.

Preferred Experience

  • Selling accounting, finance, consulting, advisory, or other high-value professional services.
  • Developing referral relationships with CPA firms, banks, private equity firms, attorneys, or other Centers of Influence.
  • Planning, hosting, or leading professional networking events.
  • An active, credible presence on LinkedIn.
  • Experience with a national or regional accounting, advisory, or consulting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will be a visible, trusted presence in the Phoenix business community — confident, commercially minded, and skilled at building relationships that create long-term value. They'll enjoy being in the market, meeting business leaders, and identifying meaningful opportunities, while working closely with the Phoenix Market President, Directors, and broader team to grow NOW CFO's presence across Phoenix.
