Strategic Partner Services (SPS) enables JPMorganChase Marketing and Consumer & Community Banking Communications to succeed through strong vendor governance and partnership management. We connect business stakeholders with sourcing, control partners, third-party oversight functions, and suppliers to drive operational excellence and disciplined risk management. Our work strengthens compliance, accelerates responsible innovation (including AI), and delivers sustainable value across an evolving supplier ecosystem.

As a Vendor Management Strategy, Vice President within Strategic Partner Services (SPS), you drive strategic vendor management and third-party governance to deliver business outcomes across Marketing and Consumer & Community Banking Communications. You advise business leaders on partnership strategy, supplier engagement, and vendor rationalization while ensuring operational discipline across the partnership lifecycle. You translate complex risk, performance, and governance topics into clear actions for stakeholders ranging from delivery teams to senior executives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive vendor landscape strategy by aligning supplier decisions to evolving business priorities
  • Advise business leaders on partnership strategy, supplier engagement, and vendor rationalization
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and recommend actions that improve performance, efficiency, and value
  • Lead third-party lifecycle management including onboarding coordination and governance readiness
  • Coordinate contract-related activities in partnership with sourcing, legal, and business stakeholders
  • Manage issues end-to-end by assessing impact, escalating appropriately, and driving timely resolution
  • Conduct performance reviews by defining KPIs, monitoring delivery, and addressing gaps with suppliers
  • Champion responsible AI and emerging technology adoption through disciplined governance practices
  • Mitigate third-party risk by proactively identifying, assessing, and addressing compliance and control needs
  • Influence cross-functional teams by building trusted relationships across risk, compliance, legal, and leadership
  • Communicate clearly by translating complex topics into actionable insights for operational and executive audiences
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bring 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, vendor/supplier management, governance, program management, consulting, AI implementation, or related disciplines
  • Hold a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Demonstrate leadership and delivery experience leading cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Influence effectively without direct authority while building strong stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions
  • Manage risk proactively by identifying, assessing, and mitigating third-party risks across the lifecycle
  • Communicate succinctly by translating complex issues into clear, actionable messages for varied audiences
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills :
  • Earn an advanced degree and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, CIPS, risk/governance credentials)
  • Demonstrate experience supporting Marketing, Communications, or similar enterprise stakeholder groups
  • Apply deep third-party governance knowledge across onboarding, ongoing monitoring, performance, and remediation
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve vendor management workflows, reporting, and decisioning
  • Partner effectively with sourcing/procurement functions on vendor strategy, negotiations support, and rationalization
  • Utilize metrics and dashboards to track vendor performance, risk themes, and operational readiness
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments by shaping executive communications and driving alignment across teams
