Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION: LOAN PROCESSOR I

DEPARTMENT: Loan

CLASSIFICATION: Non - Exempt

REPORTS TO: Loan Operations Manager

SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibility

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the processing and administration of loans in one or more of the following areas: consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIIES:

  • Responsible for input and audit of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the lenders and staff, including processing loan payments, inputting and updating loan data in the system, and maintaining loan records and files (paper and electronic).
  • Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation. Ensures that loan files contain documents and with proper signature, dates and other relevant data.
  • Performs clerical duties as related to working ticklers and maintaining departmental records.
  • Answers customer questions and resolves routine problems with inquires regarding payoffs, changes of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.
  • Balances Assigned General Ledgers
  • Processes Escrow which may include Home-Owner's Insurance, PMI, Property Taxes, and Home Owner's Association Dues
  • Works through Escrow Analysis
  • Provides input on QM procedures, updates as directed by loan operations manager.
  • Actively achieves individual sales, referral, operational, and community involvement goals.
  • Scans and Images documentation within Director
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of experience in a financial institution, lending setting, or office environment.
  • Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in computer applications and Microsoft Office Environment.
