Job description

Job Description:

The Senior Director of Operations Excellence is responsible for driving operational performance, process improvement, labor optimization, and cross-functional execution across the organization. This role partners closely with Operations, Finance, HR, Technology, and other business leaders to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, scalability, guest experience, and profitability.

The role leads enterprise initiatives focused on operational effectiveness, standardization, workforce productivity, and continuous improvement while supporting the organization's long-term strategic objectives.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Lead enterprise operational excellence initiatives across field and support center functions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, simplify processes, and reduce operational friction.
  • Develop and implement standardized operating practices that improve consistency and execution.
  • Utilize data and operational insights to drive measurable business improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, labor optimization, and guest experience.

Workforce & Labor Optimization

  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and HR to evaluate labor utilization, staffing models, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Analyze workforce productivity trends, labor costs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Assess contractor utilization and support strategies to optimize resource allocation.
  • Support organizational design and restructuring initiatives where appropriate.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic partner across Operations, Finance, Technology, HR, Supply Chain, and Training functions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy development through execution.
  • Facilitate alignment between field operations and support center teams.
  • Drive accountability and execution across multiple stakeholders and business units.

Performance & Analytics

  • Develop operational scorecards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to monitor business performance.
  • Identify operational trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
  • Present recommendations and progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Support annual planning, forecasting, and operational prioritization efforts.

Change Management & Execution

  • Lead operational change initiatives with a focus on adoption, communication, and execution consistency.
  • Partner with leadership teams to improve organizational readiness and execution capability.
  • Help build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of operational leadership, business transformation, consulting, or operational excellence experience.
  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, or entertainment environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Experience with workforce analysis, labor modeling, and organizational effectiveness initiatives preferred.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.
  • Experience with POS systems, operational technology, and field support systems preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25-40% of the time
