Laboratory Team Lead, Johnson Matthey, Inc., Wayne, PA:
Monitor lab operations to support day-to-day manufacturing requirements and customer requirements. Provide direction to lab team. Fully participate in LEAN deployment on site, including 5S, SPs, CIS, and Kaizen, to help develop and sustain a LEAN environment. Lead and direct the Quality Control processes in accordance with defined KPIs. Prepare ICP calibration standards with independent verification before releasing them for routine use. Distinguish between good and bad data. Calibrate and maintain the instruments used in the laboratory.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, an Engineering discipline or a related field and 2 years of related work experience in an industrial laboratory environment.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in all of the following:
  • Laboratory Information Management;
  • Applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) to validate lab measurements and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to determine the suitability of a measurement system; and
  • Mitigating laboratory hazards such as compressed gases, strong acids, and ergonomic factors.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:
  • SAP; and
  • Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Labware version 6.
