Average Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 – 2:30; Saturdays When Required

Job Summary:

Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. The Inventory Control supports production operations by ensuring accurate material tracking, inventory integrity, and alignment between physical stock and ERP records. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory movements, conducting cycle counts, managing material transactions, and maintaining organized documentation to support workflow efficiency within the department.


Duties/Responsibilities:

All responsibilities listed below may be modified based on business needs.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

- Ensure all inventory control activities adhere to company policies and procedures with integrity and consistency.

- Maintain organized, accurate documentation of inventory transactions, cycle counts, and related material records.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency.


Inventory Management

- Conduct physical inventory of materials twice a year to ensure accurate tracking and control.

- Perform cycle counts of materials as needed to maintain ongoing inventory accuracy.

- Manage and execute material transfers to the corresponding locations to keep the inventory system up to date.

- Deduct materials used for repairs or samples from the system promptly and accurately.

- Continuously update the “No Leather” report with precise and current data.

- Create and prepare labels for swatches and materials to ensure proper identification.


Reporting & Tracking

- Review and verify incoming invoices to ensure that materials received match the quantities and descriptions on the invoice prior to approval.

- Maintain accurate ERP data entry and system updates as required.

- Assist leadership in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy and material traceability.


Team Collaboration

- Assist the Inventory Coordinator with inventory-related tasks and reporting as required.

- Maintain positive cross-functional communication with Supervisor, team members and production.

- Provide vendors with the “Shipping Materials” form in a timely and clear manner.


Required Skills/Abilities

- Strong passion for operational excellence and consistently exceeding performance goals.

- Ability to work within and navigate ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

- Excel certification preferred.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to maintain professional relationships across cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven manufacturing environment.

- Flexible availability based on business needs.

- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.


Education, Experience, and/or Certifications

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing, production, scheduling, or administrative support role preferred.

- Experience supporting ERP systems in a production or inventory environment strongly preferred.


Physical Requirements

- Ability to safely lift boxes up to 30 pounds.

- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor as needed.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
