Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented AWS Infrastructure Developer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement AWS infrastructure architectures supporting operational capability hosting and data processing.
  • Deploy and manage AWS compute resources (EC2, ECS, Lambda) hosting operational capabilities and services.
  • Implement network segmentation, security groups, NACLs, and routing policies enforcing operational security requirements.
  • Leverage orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar) for container and workload management.
  • Manage IAM policies, roles, and service control policies enforcing least-privileged access.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure performance, connectivity, and security issues impacting operations.
  • CONUS travel maybe required up to 25%.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience OR Associate’s degree and 6+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree and 2+ years, OR a PhD with 0+ years of progressively responsible experience.
  • 4+ years hands-on AWS infrastructure engineering experience
  • Expert knowledge of AWS networking services including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53
  • Strong experience with AWS computer services (EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda)
  • Expert proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code implementation
  • Experience with orchestration systems outside AWS (Kubernetes, Nomad, Docker Swarm, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, Advanced Networking, Security Specialty)
  • Experience with AWS GovClooud or DoD cloud environments
  • Advanced Kubernetes experience (CKA/CKAD certification)
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architectures connecting on-premises and cloud environments
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and multi-account strategies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Clearance Requirements:

  • A current active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
