THE ROLE

Our client, a 60-bed acute-care, full-service hospital, is seeking a Radiation Therapist for its Radiation Oncology department. Working under the direct supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager, the Radiation Therapist delivers radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician, in accordance with established policies and procedures. This is a full-time, direct-hire role requiring independent work capability alongside close collaboration with the Radiation Oncology treatment team, and involves confidential patient information handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician, following established standards and practices
  • Apply strong knowledge of healthcare informatics, including resources, devices, and methods used to acquire, store, and retrieve patient data
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, the radiation oncology treatment team, and outside entities
  • Exercise high-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with the Radiation Oncology team
  • Apply radiation safety principles and practices in accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional duties within the department as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with department and facility policy
REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent
  • Radiation Therapy Certification — required, must be in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — current and valid

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Aria, Eclipse Treatment Planning, and Phillips CT software preferred
